Nicole-If you go to a hairdresser and say you're open to their suggestions, they'll probably cut your hair short--or much shorter than what you have. So be sure you have a clear idea of what you want before you take the plunge. Bring pictures along to help describe the look you want. When I need a change of style, I find the best idea-producing activity is to thumb through current women's magazines. I always see styles that I would love to try.The best thing to do is to pick a hair style that is realistic with your hair type, face shape and lifestyle. If you're a no fuss person, for example, steer clear of styles that will require a lot of maintence or styling time. For naturally curly hair, for example, you'll want to avoid a lot of layers, and particularly layers that are short, and will be hard to manage. same may go for bangs, depending on how curly your hair is.Remember to also take into account your face type (round/square-avoid styles that hit at the jawline, long--avoid styles that will elongate the face, and possibly opt for bangs, but watch the out if your hair is really curly).Without knowing all these things, I would hesitate to make a hair cut suggestion for you, but I have seen a few layers on most anyone with longer hair, will add some interesting texture. Layers around the face can also be very feminine and flattering (careful how short though, if your hair is really curly).good luck :) silvie
