I want true ASH color!

STAY AWAY from Permanent color!! :0Ask for ash blonde highlights IE: Cool Blonde color(Gold is warm)...a good salon has heard the "No gold" before...and use a purple base shampoo 2 times a week IE :"Matrix, So Silver", and use Sheer blonde the rest of the time/honey color?...to keep the highlights from going yellow/brass...The purple is violet base and cuts right through the gold...I have SO been there and and to top it off, I have well water!!The highlights will cover the going grey sections...and if you must...only use semi-permanent color (on the sections not being highlighted..at the salon ONLY)...this is a process, so give it a couple go's at the salon...I have had a few nightmare experiences...all involving permanent color...I LOVE the cool blonde color look...and I aim to hold my ash head high...and trust my colorist...he says that it is a process to get the gold out...next appt. is in Nov. So I am excited...it has been a long road!Remember...if you have been box'n it for a while...hang on and the ash is right around the corner...I do love that color!!
