Since red tends to fade quickly, your red blonde hair will probably look more blonde, less red, soon. I tend to think that foiling the hair heavily with a light brown tint, low volume developer should do the trick. I would use a warm brown even though you are unhappy with the red. This is because when tinting back to a darker color the natural warm pigments in the hair are lessened due to the previous lightening. So to acheive a natural looking brown, you need the warm tones. This does not mean that you will actually see the warm tones. The end result should be more of a neutral brown. In the meantime, to get you through the week, try using rinse that washes out after each shampoo. Roux Fanciful rinse is sold in drugstores. Get a medium to dark warm brown. That should help you get throught the week without causing any permanent results or damage.PS. if your hair is very light, you may need a filler prior to the actual retint. Your hairdresser should be able to determine this
