Thank you very much for your nice message. I was really looking for a permanent color, but I don't know which brand and shade name to use that offers a reasonably natural look. Have a good day.
Hello :-)I am sorry to say I do not really have any help for you in the area of your hair colouring question. I just wanted to say you sound exactly like my girlfriend. She as well has the more brown hair, and its seems she has your eyes, exactly the way you describe yours, brown with the green, I love her eyes, and she has the same colouring of her skin as you describe yours is. She has, and most likely always will, colour her hair red. I am not sure what she does to it, but with her colouring it looks quite natural. She has had people, who found out she colours, tell her they would never have known. I was with her once and the fella told her she needed to kind of mix two colours, something about toning down her brown (?) and then getting the red to go on, something like that. I know she mixed them before they were applied, because her mother (who is a hairdresser) was doing it and I was sitting there reading a book. It really does look great!! And let me just say I am a natural redhead, so even when we are together it is not noticeable that she colours.I hope you find what works right for you :-)Take care
Hi Rosemary (beautiful name),Have you concidered trying a color shampoo and conditioner instead of dye? This way the change will be less drammatic and more natural. If you like the subtle change, you can continue using the products. If you want an even more obvious redness to your hair, you can add in red highlights, or go straight for the dye. Or if you see that the color doesn't suit you, you will spare yourself the money and the time it takes to grow out the color.A color shampoo/conditioner is a great help in deciding color issues. I know that this wasn't exactly your question, but I think that if you try this, many of your other questions may be answered. I know that Aveda makes a line of color products which are very good, as I am told (I have never tried them). One thing for sure: it won't hurt to try!PD> Hi, I am thinking about coloring my long hair red but> I am afraid of doing it because I have seen so many> heads of dyed red hair that don't look good in my> opinion...they don't appeal to me because they just> look so artificial, so I need to know specifically> what brand and shade of red or auburn hair color to> get that looks as close to natural as possible, even> out in broad daylight with the sun shining on it.> Thanks in advance. Hi, I am thinking about coloring my long hair red but I am afraid of doing it because I have seen so many heads of dyed red hair that don't look good in my opinion...they don't appeal to me because they just look so artificial, so I need to know specifically what brand and shade of red or auburn hair color to get that looks as close to natural as possible, even out in broad daylight with the sun shining on it. Thanks in advance. I live in the US. (Natural color is a shade of brown, eyes are hazel (green brown combo), and skin tone is light white with some pink.)Rosemary.
