Thanks Ally and Kedra,
I called the Caruso customer service line and they told me also that I left the curlers in my hair too long. So, yesterday morning I put the rollers on the steamer only for a couple of seconds. Before taking the rollers out, I used the hairdryer with diffuser. The curls are still in my hair, one day later!
That does seem strange, since the curls usually take so well on me that I can't even brush them loose. Try applying the setting lotion to your hair while it's damp. Then curl your hair after it dries.
Another thing: Make sure you are leaving the rollers in long enough. And if your hair is damp when you take them out, you're using too much steam or leaving the rollers on the steam spindle too long.
I had the same problem until I started using gel and styling creme. The curl holds pretty well now. I usually have to leave the rollers in for an hour. The funny thing is - I never left them on the steamer long enough to get soaking wet. Some people have said if you leave it on too long, it will take longer for the curl to set and hold.
I have been using the Caruso Steam Rollers. They are good, but the curl does not stay in my hair very long, which is contradictory to what I have heard about it. I spray a little bit of setting gel in my hair before I start rolling my hair, and I leave the rollers in pretty long.Afterwards I use some hairspray. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able to hold the curl longer. Thanks, Ilse
