QuoteReplyTopic: Looking for my perfect defrizzer/straightener Posted: April 06 2003 at 11:48am
Hi Traci!
My hair is fine and straight. It's not TOO frizzy anymore, now that I've stopped dying the heck out of it and 3 years have passed since I have done so.
But I still use a product from when my hair was really frizzy, because I like it so much. It's John Frieda's Frizz Ease Serum. And it now comes in a "light" formula for fine hair. Which I've tried and recommend.
The secret is that you must use a TINY dollop. No bigger than the size of a pea. When you're looking at it in your hand, and you say to yourself "This tiny amount of product couldn't possibly make a difference!" then you know you have the perfect amount of product in your hand. Rub it in your palms til your palms are coated and gently touch it to your hair, starting at the bottom and working up to your scalp. As the bottle says, do this all before you have towel dried your hair.
I also recommend not combing or brushing your hair until it is dry, and use a blow dryer sparingly, if at all. Frizzy hair is just damaged hair after all, so the best way to rid yourself of frizz is to try and prevent damage.
Good luck! Traci

Redken's straightning balm is wonderful!!! It does not weigh it down at all. I have curly hair myself and have tried everything, this is the BEST!!!

Okay, I've found my conditioner and shampoo. Now alls I need is a good defrizzer/straightener. I've been using the phyto defrisant , but I still have those frizzy flyaways. I try with the silicone on top but so nervous since my hair is fine and I don't want to weigh down what volume I have. Suggestions are very much welcome!
