How long before recolor?Hi,

Hi,
wrong button before.
here is my situation, i have shoulder length hair that i normally highlight, it would be considered fine in strand width, but am told i have a lot of it so it appears thick.. so last night i highlighted it, its a light blond with brown undertones. I dont like it. its too "bleachy looking" and i want to redo it. and i dont like the streaky look. can i recolor it instead? i'd like to do the loreal preference color all over. how long should i wait? its sort of damaged on the ends, the hairdresser trimmed it, but b/c its so blond on the ends from the color, they look more damaged, which is why i'd like to color it to get those ends warmer so it doesnt look so damaged. next question is, should i do the roots first and then the whole head, or since its my first time doing a color, can i do the whole head at once??
any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
