QuoteReplyTopic: Can I use Les Blondissimes with brown hair? Posted: February 13 2005 at 5:17pm
i use it on my dk brown hair, it lightened it to an almost perfect shade, but i still use a toner ,redken shades eq over that. just a tad to gold, for me anyway, it might be ok for you since you have light brown, not dk brown hair..i use the cafe aulait toner, and i dilute it. my haircolor is very close to jessica simpsons tone, maybe not as light.

Ok, I tried a test strand using Les Blondissimes LB01 (lightest ash blonde) and it looks really good. Not orange at all, not too brassy. Not bleached out platinum, either. It's actually sort of medium ash blonde--perfect!
So it looks like I'm good to go!

I dunno about their ash, but I used another shade in that line before, and it turned my hair strawberry-blonde. Ash might not come out as bright and reddish as mine did, though, I dunno.
More awesome than a manatee!

I have medium to light brown fine hair. I really want to go ash blond. I used to achieve this with foil highlighting at an expensive salon, and it looked wonderful, but unfortunately I can't afford this anymore.
I tried Loreal Preference Ash Blond (8A, I think) and it turned out light brown with warm tones. I picked up a package of Lightest Ash Blond (9.5 A) but the strand test came out only a little lighter than the previous shade. Still light brown, not what I would call blonde.
So I was wondering, should I try the next step. Les Blondissimes, in ash? On the box it says that it will take medium brown hair to light ash blonde. But on the Loreal website they only recommend it for natural dark blonde or lighter. They say that with brown hair you will end up with warmer tones.
What do you think, will I like Les Blondissimes if I try it?
