anyway now for a mature answer, what i would do is dye the roots with a permament dye, and then if your dying your hair the same color you already have i would apply a bit of the color mixed with shampoo to the rest of the hair, now if you are going lighter or darker you can use this technique also, just use less shampoo and more peroxide.
Well seeing how I'm not a chemist I have no idea what that means! HAH! Angiebear posted that she heard it turns into peroxide once mixed with water. How is that possible? The product didn't have one bit of smell, nothing. Wouldn't I smell peroxide or ammonia?
Ok, so I used the Color by Robert Craig last night for the first time. It was amazing!! There was absolutely ZERO smell and my hair feels great. The color is perfect also (Golden Chestnut). All you do is add the powder to warm warer and shake for a few minutes. It turns in to a liquidy mousse. There is no amonia, no peroxide and no alcohol. THis might be a good choice for you since it won't damage your hair. I won't ever use another hair product.
It sounds wonderful but it makes me wonder how it can be permanent. I would love if someone would post the ingredients in it.... just out of curiosity....
Yes a semi permanent is less damaging but some do still have small amounts of perxide in them. They can be labeled as semi permanent, demi-permanent and also low peroxide. I would test strand before doing it if you have done a lot previosly to it.

My natural color is a medium brown and my hair is dyed light blonde, pretty close to the color of Kate Hudson's haircolor. So I think it would be pretty hard for me to do it that way. I think I am just going to stick with the same color and just color the roots for awhile. It is damaged from a few screw-ups where I had to recolor because of my hair looking gray, etc.
heY! I believe the semi-perm is less damaging. I'm going to start letting my hair grow out but I don't want the roots to be noticiable so every few months I'm gonna dye it a color close to my natural color. I'm using Loreal ColorSpa and I called the hotline number and the girl told me it will def. wash out. I reccommend it. We'll see! Let me know :-)
Geez, some people. hi angie, I posted a question about Color by Robert Craig. The website says the color has no harsh chemicals and even makes your hair very soft and manageable afterwards. I'm trying to see if anyone has ever used it and if they were happy about it. You might want to check out the website?? www.robertcraig.com. My order came in today and I plan on coloring my hair tonight. I will let you know tomorrow how it is. Hope this helps.
