No my hair wasn't bleached. The color left after the colorfix was like an orangey blonde color. It's kind of hard to describe. But then I applied Loreal Excellence Baby Beige 10E which turned a real pretty med. blonde color.

I'm pretty sure ColorFix doesn't have bleach in it. It doesn't have ammonia or formaldehyde either, so it's less damaging than bleach. It apparently makes the color molecules smaller.

P.S. Has anyone used ColorFix on previously bleached hair?

Harvestmoon, what colour did the ColorFix leave your hair? Was your hair bleached before? My hair was bleached a few hours before I applied my current (horrid) permanent colour. I've never used ColorFix on bleached hair. I'm wondering if my hair will be returned to the pale yellow bleach level.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I just followed the directions on the box for the colorfix. It tells you exactly what to do. And I don't think it had bleach but I don't remember for sure. It was a month ago since I did it. Let me know how it turns out.

Oh thanks for the advice harvestmoon! I was already starting to chicken out...LOL I've had so much different advice. One more question, I am going to use the color remover tomorrow evening, and plan to color Sat. morning. Do I need to condition my hair after color removal and before applying new color? Also, I wanna know if it had bleach in it too... Thanks again Lynn

Does Color fix have bleach in it?
Will it make you hair fall out if you have relaxed/permanent color?

You can get ColorFix at Sallys and it comes with 2 applications. I recently used it for the same reason as you and I did both applications. Go ahead and pick out some color while you are there because you will need to color your hair right after doing the colorfix. It works great and now my hair looks very natural and it didn't harm my hair.

I am going to try a color remover tomorrow. Colorfix is the one most everyone reccomends from what Ive seen on here. Can you get it at Sally? Also, I have dark brown demi-perm. color on my hair over my natural grey hair. After the color removal, will my hair be grey? I'm afraid it will be orange. My plan is to color it with a much lighter color after the removal. How light, depends on what color it is after using the remover. Also, can I use the color remover more than once in the same day if it soesn't get enough of the color out the first time? Any advice would be appreciated.

Tide also works great at removing hair colour, but use lots of conditioner afterwards -- it's very drying. If you want to get rid of all the colour, you could use a product like ColorFix.

Frini, I'm so glad to hear that the Dawn dishwashing detergent worked for you! That's awesome!

The same thing happened to me, see Hair Disaster, and i used Dawn, mainly because that was what was in the house. It works! I did it about 4 times, then did MAJOR conditioning and hot oil treatments, because it will really dry your hair, but it got the black out of my hair.

I seen on another post that Dawn dish washing detergent fades hair color, I was wondering is it only dawn that will do that? Because I have some joy dish washing detergent. The story behind this is that I got my hair colored, I wanted it close to my natural hair color which is dark blonde/light brown. Anyway, it is almost black!! So, I'd like to fade it. Can anyone help me? Please and thank you so much!!
