A great product you should try is Loreal Hair Fixer. I got it at Sally's. I'm actually using it right now. My hair has been through bleaching hell. And believe me when I tell you, this stuff is like real hair medicine. It restructures the hair fiber with molecular bonds. So it basically fills in porous hair with amino acids and protein. One box comes with 6 treatments. You should use one treatment after every shampoo. You will see instant results and it will get it strong and ready for your next coloring.

You can get a protein filler at Sally's and you put it on before applying color. It helps with porous hair.

I can't seem to get the color right! It's either too dark (almost black--UGH!!) or when I take it out with ColorFix it's way too light. I've tried coloring with Nat. Instinct #26 Copper Reddish Brown hoping to get the warm reddish brown back into my hair, but that didn't work either. Had to ColorFix again to get the very dark out. I think at this point my hair has become very porous and will soak up color like a sponge. Any suggestion as to how to avoid the harsh darkness from color? Maybe I should only use part color and part shampoo. What do you think? I don't want to keep stripping my hair. I've left it stripped for the time-being but reddish blonde does not go with my pinkish complexion. I need a LITTLE more brown, but can't get it right yet!!! :(
