There are color removers that do not contain bleach, Color Fix and Igora Modulat are two that don't. When removing processed dye, Color Fix comes with a liquid lotion after you use to see if there is any tint left in the hair. If there is when retinting the peroxide in the new tint will activate and make the hair go darker again.

There are color removers that contain bleach- Clairol Uncolor is one I don't recommend them, they are hard on hair.
It is possible to bleach tinted hair but I don't think bleaching black is a good idea that can cause alot of damage. Color Fix or Igora Modulat would be best for trying to remove black tint, unless it's Feria.

That's not true. A lot of color removers have bleach in them.. for removing the color. Bleach will bleach through color, may have to bleach a little longer depending on the dye, but it's impossible to 'bleach your hair black'.

btw - never never never bleach hair after you color it BEFORE using a stripper. you MUST use a color stripper before bleaching otherwise the bleach will re activate the color and its possible to actually bleach your hair black.

shes right color dosnt remove color. and color fix does not damage hair.. I cant see your hair But. U can try an old fashion soap cap. take a scoop of bleach 2 oz dev. and 1 oz of shampoo.mix it all up and shampoo it in your hair for about 5 min untill u can see the change do not keep it in for more then 10 min.. it should at the most take like 7 min.

Color Fix doesn't dry out your hair unless its damaged to begin with.
It won't remove Feria because its a direct dye and most tints are oxidative dyes.
The only way to remove Feria is with bleach.

However even if it wasn't Feria, you wouldn't be able to use a lighter tint and get lighter results because processed color doesn't lighten processed color, you have to use a color remover.

red will fade with a couple of shampoos... you may have a hard time getting the red tones out, use a green/ash base... or go darker...
you want to be careful putting bleach over your red tones... will make them orange looking... to get away from this you may want to color remove it - which is harsh on your hair... follow up with deep conditioning treatment once a week...
It is what it is...

If you're still here, red fades pretty quickly, especially if you condition it. You may wind up with your dark brown in a couple of weeks if you just give it time.

the new was Feria #56 a brown auburn and the regular was Loreal preference for true brunettes in light brown... BIG differences I know... if the red wasn't so red it wouldn't have been such a shock...
the stuff I usually use just wan't covering all of the gray not too much but enough that I could see, I am about to rinse.

Sometimes what seems to you to be a little change may actually be a huge difference. So what is the "regular stuff" and what was the "new color way" you tried? Can you tell us the exact product names?

What happened that was different that you didn't like so much that you're trying to change back really quickly?

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

re- coloring is better, b/c it won't dry out ur hair like color fix will and it makes it dry up and i really don't recommend it..

You can recolor ur hair as before tomorrow , just as long as it isn't bleach, well of course it isn't , but with bleach u should wait two weeks, but u could even do ur hair over today and u will still be fine...good luck
