Everyone, including myself :) agree that red hair suits me waaaay more than my nat. black hair! Its soo strange that something "not natural" on me makes more look and (feel) better. I'm not even michael jackson plae yet lighter reds suit me a lot! I guess i'm just unusual in that sense, hehe. Anyways, I;ve never looked at blondes or brunnettes in different ways, the onyl thing i notice is if there's someone exceptionally good-looking. I mean, who doesnt? In guys, I tend to like the dark haired ones more but not always, like certain guys look better w/ light blonde hair and darker eyebrows (hehe hot!)
Anyways here's an example: Most pple might tend to think of a popular high-school cheerleader girl as blonde, not the case, I've seen in movies that this role is played by blondes and brunnettes alike, and I guess its just a matter of who's the 'prettier' face.
Does any1 know where I'm coming from?

Yup I Do!

I've been both Blonde and Brunnett and I defo prefer Brunnett, apart from the fact that brown hair looks healthier than blonde hair I also think that girls with brown hair look more unique....so many girls have highlights or blonde hair and mainly because they think they'll look more attractive because of it, but to have brown hair and still look attractive is more appealing I think, anyway there are way too many blondes in the world.

Brunnett hair rocks.

I'm naturally brunette but usually go through a blonde phase about once a year (as well as a red phase, a dark phase, a curly phase, etc, etc...), and I immidiately notice a difference in reaction after bleaching... Although that could have to do with a multitude of factors. It may simply look better on my complexion, it may be that I prefer a solid, super-light look (which is much more uncommon than a few highlights or chunks, which the majority of women in this small city seem pleased with), or it could be attributed to, as someone mentioned above, the fact that I FEEL more confident, therefore carry myself better. I like to think it's a nice healthy combination of the three, although I think the third explanation has more to do with it than anything.

I'm thinking about going blonde again on Friday, actually... it's about that time of year again.

Not me. I do not like looking like everyone else. I tend to lean toward odd or weird hair cuts. I also like chaning them often. I have yet to find my "PERFECT" hair cut. I change with the seasons, colors and styles. I just showed a picture of a hair cut I designed to a so called FRIEND of mine and she ran out and got her hair cut like that before I had a chance to. Made me so angry. Took me 3 weeks to completely finish working on the design of this hair style and I felt as though this may be my perfect cut. It combined the aspect of long hair and short hair and conveinance and now its gone. haha Not too worried about it. I should shave my head and see if she does it as well.

Come to think about it, I think she is trying to steal my identity haha It happens. Oh well, I guess I should take it as a compliment. lolol

Actually, now that I have achieved the perfect hairstyle, I encourage as many as who so aspire to set it as their goal, too.

I didnt go through all 3 pades of replies so hope Im not beating a dead horse here. I am a natural baby blonde with blue eyes. I grew up with men thinking for one, I was a ditsey blonde with big boobs and no brain, and two, I would get too much unappropriate attention from me. So do I think men treat bruntettes different than blondes yes. I liked being a blonde in the summer because I was at the beath or pool alot and I felt Barbie Dollish with my tan and blue eyes. During the winter I go a darker color which makes me seem warmer and more exotic. I think every color looks good on certain people. My sister is a natural red head with hair down to her butt. Her hair is very curly and she is very fair complected. She looks great with her color on her skin tone.

I am normally a warm complexion so right now I have black hair with very ligh blonde highlights and a panel of red underneach in the very back. I like to be different colors at different times. Like right now I just cut all of my hair off. After spending 140.00 dollars on color I cut most of the color off. I am even going shorter this weekend with more of a spikey cut. I combine 2 or more cuts into one single cut so I am original looking. Dont you just hate seeing lots of people wearing the same cut as you? So I mix and match my cuts. Its only hair, it will grow back haha.

Well I just wanted to add my .02 to this.

Ive been every color under the sun, and in all honesty Ive been told I was beautiful a lot more with dark hair. Ive never really expireanced any sterotyping as far as haircolor goes. how silly.

I think I definitely picture blondes/brunettes differently-- but only when I can tell it's dyed that color. I think that a lot of girls tend to play to the stereotypes, rather than act as victim to them. Like, a lot of the girls in college seem to want the attention that blondes get, and they want the image that goes along with being blonde. Friday night, party night, almost all the drunk girls I see coming back into the dorms are blonde. I think a lot of girls want the image associated with their hair color, rather than just genuinely liking it.

I used to dye my hair black, and I loved it, but I ended up changing it because of the image associated with jet black hair on caucasians. It's something you can't really get around.
hey girl, d'you color your hair?

True, probably a medium brunnette shade would look good on her, but her tan is so dark that i don't think certain shades would be "striking" enough on her, if u know wht i mean. I could picture her w/ a chocolate brown.

I actually think Jessica Simpson would look good with dark hair. Her eyes are brown afterall, and she is not a natural blonde. I think we are just so used to seeing her blonde that we can't picture her dark.

I don't necessarily think blonde is better or prettier than brunette. I mean, look at Pam Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith's haircolor. I think it's way too light and fake looking, and it, along with some poor clothing and makeup choices, makes them look tacky. That's just my opinion and I'm not trying to be mean, but there's a difference between pretty blonde and yucky blonde. Kristen Bell (from "Veronica Mars" and "Spartan"), Jessica Simpson, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Diane Sawyer, Shakira, and Joss Stone are all examples of pretty blonde hued hair. Pam Anderson, Anna Nicole, Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie (in two movies) Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani, their hair isn't necessarily bad, but it's so obviously dyed that it isn't that attractive in my opinion. I think a good blonde hair color is either natural, natural but enhanced, or completely fake but natural looking. There should be depth, dimension, and above all the hair color should complement the persons skin tone and look healthy. Fried blonde isn't pretty, unless you like that cotton candy hair.

I guess part of me wishes I had blonde hair, but I had really beautiful light golden blonde as a child that darkened into a dirty blonde, and eventually into a cool brown. I always figured that it was a compromise considering my dad's blonde and my mom has naturally dark brown hair. I got a little of both worlds. But, I do love my brown hair. It's healthy looking and shiny and I think the color is very classy looking. Brunette shades can be incredibly versatile and look good (at least some shade on the huge scale of brunette colors) on anyone. Brown hair goes with most any color outfit and I feel that I have more choices for what to wear than when I had my hair so highlighted for a while that I practically was blonde. Plus, blonde can surprisingly wash people's faces out, just like too dark a color can.

I don't have stereotypes of blondes or brunettes, but I guess I have to say I prefer brunettes because I just feel like it's a classier more subdued color category than blonde. Blonde is more striking (I think) because it's less common than the dominant brown (usually when there's the genes for brown hair, they'll win out over blonde or red, not always, but frequently). Also, I think that blondes can make people more attractive or at least they appear so from a distance. I don't know how many guys went out with girls who weren't particularly pretty just because they were blonde. I don't know if anyone else has ever experienced this, but many of my guy friends in college pursued the blonde girl just because she was blonde and they were drawn to that, as opposed to going after the redhead or brunette with the better looking face. Just look at Britney Spears. She's cute, but you can tell that her looks are greatly enhanced by the blonde hair because when she went back to brown for her wedding she looked more everyday average than glam girl. I think everyone's tastes are different and that if you're drawn to one color over another it has to do with what you've been exposed to. I mean, if your mom was blonde and your sisters were blonde, and all your family was blonde, you might go after and be drawn to blondes when you date. If you grew up around attractive brunette role models or family members, you might be drawn to brunettes when looking for someone to date. Or, if you had bad experiences with people of one predominant hair color, you may be attracted to people with the opposite color. Or, you just prefer one color to another for no good reason. I don't know if I like guys with brown hair because most of the people in my family and my friends have brown hair or if I just like it, but for some reason I'm drawn to brown hair. I think a lot of people like to think blonde is prettier or better, but I don't think one color is better than the other, it totally depends on the person. Angelina Jolie is gorgeous with dark hair and Sarah Michelle Gellar is stunning with blonde hair. Colin Farrell is hot as a brunette while Ryan Phillippe rocks the blonde. It's just individual. Could you imagine a blonde Keanu Reeves or a raven haired Jessica Simpson. Maybe they could pull it off, but why mess with a good thing?

well, for me personally, and I have been both, i may have gotten more glances as a blonde, but have been hit on more as a brunette. I don't know, it may be true that the majority of guys eyes are drawn to a light shade, but if it isn't working for you, it won't matter. I look better with dark hair, recieve more compliments with dark hair and i myself prefer it. the bottom line is, some things you can't force. I could try and try and still end up a mediocre blonde, or be true to myself, and SHINE as a brunette!you gotta be whats right for you.

AFAIK, she uses the Coopervision Expressions in blue. They do look pretty darn realistic in pics and on TV, but I've read where people have run into her in a coffeshop or restaurant and gotten close and could tell they were fake. It is a really good lens compared to the other stuff out there. I've got the aqua and the hazel and I like them tons better than the Freshlook or Acuvue colored lenses. I never tried the blue though, didn't think they'd work since my eyes are green, but since I read that she wears the same lens and it does look so convincing, it makes me wanna try them out!

wow. i wonder what brand colored contacts she uses. usually colored contacts don't show up so well on dark eyes. she must use a rare brand.

she looks like a hippy in that picture.
