My recommendation for a dark blue is Special Effects in Blue Velvet. It's a very dark blue with a violet base, so it's much less likely to turn green on you than a lot of blue dyes. Oh, and SFX is kinda hard to find sometimes, so I suggest http://www.garment-district.com/store/rock/special/index_special.htm
They have good prices, and I've never had a problem with them. Also, amphigory.com has nice pictures of people modeling the various colors.

If you want an allover blue sheen, you don't even need to bleach. Just slap on the dye, cover with a cap, apply some heat and process for 30 to 60 minutes. (The longer you leave it on, the longer it lasts.) Or, if you want blue streak, then bleach 'em to a dark orange (like the post above says) and dye. This is where that violet base of the blue keeps the color from turning to mud. Good luck!

Thanks so much, Irish, I had no idea that it had to be done this way in order to achieve that
midnite blue hue!

Thanks so much for your reply!

My hair is long and black, and I have seen these models with this beautiful "midnite blue" hue on their dark/black locks, anyone knows which product does give this finish?

I have tried all the haircolors that say "blu/black"
but they simply do not give any blue hue at all.....

Thanks for any input!
