Placing glue to your scalp is very damaging. Your best bet would be hair infusion which is individul pices of hair placed on every strand and 1/2 inch away from your scalp. Infusion is also a wax based method of applying hair so it isn't as damging. I do it in Atlanta,GA and have a great reacurring client base and their hair is all healthy and growing. I charge $350 and it can last for up to 4 months. You can run your fingers through it, comb it, and style it as you would your own hair. So if you ever ocme to Atlanta and would like it done, call me at 404-421-0715 my name is Tonye. My website is www.starrtraxx.com/fusions.htm

I wanted to have a little extra volume to the back of my hair for New Year's and already had a packet of hair I bought a while back, but only two clips. Also, I do find that the clips seem to pull and I can feel the tugging (I have fine, thin hair) so I decided to get hair bonding glue. I had my friend apply one single 5 inch wide weft across the back but under enough hair to cover. It blended perfectly!
My question - how long can I safely wear this weft glued to my hair. I used a simple latex-based bonding glue made for temporary use and it is still in there very snuggly. I bought the remover as well but do like the way the fullness looks and would like to keep it for a while. I am VERY careful with it, I sleep with it in a firm but gentle ponytail made with a cut stocking, spritz it daily with a homemade moisturizing/sunscreen/spray and only wash my scalp and condition the ends thoroughly every 3 days (I have fine, thin hair so this is normal for me). I do not dry it with a hair dryer, rarely use hairspray and rarely curl it. It is actually feeling better now, and more natural, than it did when I removed it from the packet. I have a VERY hard time telling the difference between the weft and my own hair unless I grab it from the base of the weft and pull it forward to take a peek.
Will my hair eventually break off and how long do you think it will last if I do not use the remover until the point I am forced to (i.e. partial loosening)? Or should I take it out now? Is it only good for a day or two or can it really last for several weeks? This is my first time with any type of hair extension whatsoever and have even thought about using Great Lengths in the future. But I am afraid of my hair breaking off. Obviously I'd rather have fine, thin hair than no hair.
BTW I accidentally bought the black glue instead of the blonde/clear glue because I wasn't paying attention 10 min. before the beauty store was closing. You can't see it now that it is applied but it was scary coming out as we thought outloud, "maybe this isn't a good idea afterall." Oops.
It did look good that night though, hehe! :) Any info would be greatly apreciated :)
