It really depends on what type you are looking for. Plus, the key is to have a good stylist, who will put them in (and take them out) properly--that is the difference between success and horror stories. Please read my post to Tiffany about Great Lengths. I think that the initial condition of your hair is important--your hair needs to be strong to withstand the weight. Oh, check the texture of hair used. There is a coarse type (heavier) and silky type (obviously more desirable). And be very suspicious if the stylist wants to add over 100 strands to your head. I cringe thinking about people with 300 strands, because I was nearly dying from my 130, and had to have 1/2 of them removed the next day. Make sure that the strands are not too close to the scalp, otherwise it means lots of discomfort and possibly hair being pulled out. Really, I am so sick of stylists who just want to make $$ and do not care about your well-being, that is why I am being a big advocate of self-educating and good research. I just do not want anyone to repeat my mistake and waste money.

Actually, if you have fine hair, your only option is strand by strand technique. If you have thick hair and want length, track/sewing type extension might be better, but they tend to hurt at first. I am not familiar with those.

I recently cut my long-ish hair all off. It's barely touching my shoulder now,and i really miss my hair. I have been considering extensions and i was wondering if anyone had any input on the condition of your hair after extensions are removed..thanks so much:)
