the glue different companys use are all different. for example monkey bars come out with acetone as does lord and cliff hair....great lengths hair is a different bond and only comes out with a high alchol like everclear...try ordering it online...or find a friend in nevada to send u some....also as to the oil removel and kpac yes do this for 1 or 2 days before- but with great lenghts they all will not slide out so a high grain alchol is needed(ps i have been doing gl for 10 yrs)

You can use pure acetone from a local beauty supply to remove the Great Lengths bonds. Just put a drop on the bond and then crush the bond with a pair of flat nose pliers. The hair should brush right out. DO NOT pour the acetone on your hair only on the bonds because it is very drying.

Personally, I wouldn't use alcohol because it's so drying, and your hair will liekly be fragile anyway. You can buy a bottle of solution for a few bucks on Ebay, or maybe soak them overnite in baby oil (or K-Pak!). I think I'll probably end up asking my stylist to mail me the removal stuff so I can do it myself-- I live in NB, and had to travel 3 hours to get mine.

Good luck!

I live in Canada and want to save some $$ and remove my GL myself. You can't buy 190 proof grain alcohol (Everclear) here, it's illegal!!! Can I use isopropyl rubbing alcohol 70% USP instead?? I don't really know the differences between alcohols.
Please help!!
Thanks!
