Hi Nelly, Well, the consultation went well. Paige doesn't seem to think there would be any problems putting the extensions in my hair. In fact, she said my hair is incredible. She should have seen it before! Actually I showed her pictures of when it was thick and down to my waist. I'm hoping that these extensions will give my hair a chance to get long again. Here is my email address so you can send your before and after pics. LLAMBERT@riversideca.gov. I can't wait to get it done. How are yours holding up? and how many have you lost since you put them in? Talk to ya soon Nelly. Oh! and smile, it makes you beautiful!!!!! a friend told me that! :-)

How did the consult go? Tell me all about it, hopefully she said yes you can have them done!
To answer your question, my maintenance usually takes 2 hours since I ahve about 283 hairlocs in my hair! It's $200.00 an hour yes expensive but, my hair grows so fast I have to do it.
I would love to send you a before and after pic...I need your email sweety. Just let me know,
Thanks for getting back to me Nelly. I have a consultation today after work to find out about getting hairlocs. I hope to God that my hair is ok to put them in. The girl I'm seeing is in Brentwood Calif and her name is Paige. I don't know her last name. I was referred by a girl that has had Paige doing her ext for 3 years. Paige said that she does alot of Chemo patients and without a doubt they have the most fragile hair. I would think if there hair is strong enough to withstand it then mine would be ok. Can you tell me what your paying for maint??? My hair grows really slow so I'm hoping I won't have to have maint done but every 4 months or so. I will get back to ya when I find out. :-) I would really like to see your before and after pictures. Can you mail them to me or email them to me? Thanks for getting back to me. Talk to ya soon!

Who's the educator your seeing? First go to the consultation and see what the person says regarding your hair's condition. Everyone's situation is different. If they are indeed a real Hairlocs educator, they will tell you the truth on whether you should or should not be getting Hairlocs put in.
The cost for me was quite expensive...about $2000 but well worth it. I'm getting more hair put in next week and having maintenance done because my hair grows very very fast. Its been 2 months and I have 2 inchs of growth its crazy. But I owe it to vitamins
Please ask me any questions you may have......I'll be checking in and out...
I have before and after pics if ya wanna see them? Let me know....
Just so people don't think I'm a ditz. I don't know what's up with the """""" before the s on all those words in my last post. I didn't put them there, I swear.
Your case sounds so much like mine I just have to talk to ya. I too originally had long thick beautiful hair until I started taking this stupid medication last year. My hair started thinning and breaking off. I had Great Lengths put in and made a bad situation worse. I paid altogther $2400.00 and only had them in for 2 months before having them removed due to the fact that I had about 40 bonds come out in a 2 month period (also had more bonds put in after 1 month because I had lost so many). Anyway, needless to say my hair is half the thickness it used to be and alot shorter. I have bald spots from where all the bonds pulled my own hair out when they fell out. And here I thought I would be giving my hair a break and a chance to grow, yeah, I gave it a break allright!!! :-( I didn''''''''t realize that the medicine was causing all the problem until after I had the GL removed. I have been off the medication for almost 3 months and I''''''''m taking hair vitamins. I have a consultation on Monday for hairlocs. Do you think my hair will be ok. I know I should wait and give my hair a break but I can''''''''t stand the way it looks. The girl I''''''''m going to see about hairlocs is an educator for the Hairlocs system and licensed beautician. I also have no idea what the initial cost will be, can you give me some idea????? Thanks Nelly6
