You know whats even more disturbing....look at the hits on the auctions...one had 245 hits and the guy has sold 45 movies this month...Creepy, just way to creepy.
Creepy is right! Who is this guy? The haircut afterwards wasn't even that great. I guess there are guys out there that get off on this stuff, on the other hand if I watched it I would be crying the whole time - "No, not the hair!!! Don't cut the hair!!!" I would probably have nightmares afterwards too.
Im not sure if ebay will remove it or not, Ive seen very unjustified negatives on a members feedback rating. But Ive also seen here lately where they have been removing some negs. So maybe ebay is finally realizing that some people dont deserve it, and its not fair that a persons ebay reputation can be ruined by idiots!
I cannot believe that idiot would demand more money from you. Like I said before, it was his own fault that he didnt set a reserve price on his auction. What a JERK! And hed probably be the type to leave a negative if he didnt get his way!
I thought about the bad feedback thing too but my husband said that Ebay will take away a bad feedback if it is done unjustly. I also have the email the guy wrote me demanding more money so I can send that along to Ebay too. Only time will tell.

yeah that is some damn nice looking hair...if its for real! That guy has alot of nerve to treat you like that because nobody bid against you in the auction. Thats his own fault for not setting a reserve price. Id be careful though so he doesn't give you a negative feedback out of spite. Which would be bulls**t. You didnt do anything wrong, but if someone leaves you bad feedback you cant change it.
The more I look at that photo, something about it looks fake--the shinyness of the hair and the way it falls, perhaps? Does anyone else think so? I realize the seller's feedback is good, but he has very little of it. (I've gotten burned myself by looking at the feedback percent rather than the number of feedbacks posted)..... I can't imagine cutting a ponytail off someone's head and having it look like that. It wouldn't be so...perfect-looking....
Good thought Amm, but I want to watch him sizzle now - hehehehe. Sherrie had some good points about the length and Jenny about the lice - Yuck. Instead of dealing with all this now I will take my $1.00 ponytail and donate it to my friends salon who does Locks of Love Donation. If I had enough money I would buy all of those ponytails off Ebay and Doante them and keep them away from those sickos out there. I had to go back and check what you guys were talking about and I was SHOCKED!!! What do these guys do with the hair - one can only imagine.
Look what you guys are doing to me - I only came on this site asking for good hair for clip-on extensions and now I am out shopping for microrings and waiting for the posts on the magic synth hair. Will it ever stop!!! Then here I go and buy hair from a sleeze - I think being a stay-at-home mom is starting to get to me - I need to sozialize more - pull my hair up in a ponytail and be happy - Nah, not going to happen - LOL
LOL... if he were you , he'd send more money. Hahahaha, yeah riiiiiiiight. Send no more than the agreed upon price of the auction and not a penny more.
Better yet, if he's upset that it only went for a buck, email him and see if he wants to disregard the auction. You can keep your buck and he can relist the hair and pretend the whole thing never happened.
I have to say I agree with the poster about all the health issues. Also if you buy a pony of cut hair, you will find alot of broken pieces and different lengths and thicknesses. When a manufaturer selects hair to use to make extensions they pick out (or a machine picks out) just certain strands that are all even in lengths and thickness with no breaks splits or damaged strands. That would be nearly impossible to do yourself. Unless the cut pony came from someone you know has never done ANY processing or that you know has been kind and gentle to their hair then I wouldnt think it would be good enough for extensions. A majority of those strands would probably never make it through the hand picking or machine picking by a manufacturer. Just my 2 cents here!
That sucks, and the seller is obviously a jerk for harassing you like that. Some items will simply sell for less than you think they will--that's how auctions work! I think you should get the hair, and I actually wouldn't be all that concerned about the hygene of it. You can wash it with a lice shampoo, and I'm sure it would be fine (lice is the only thing that could go wrong that I can think of), but who would want it on their head after this? God only knows how he acquired it. Donating it to Locks of Love is a wonderful idea--I'm sure they have quality assurace to inspect the hair and treat it properly, and it's a great cause. Once youre done, I would leave him some nasty feeback. He should be ashamed of himself for harassing you like that!
I just can't win - what you guys are saying is so true. For health reasons I have no freakin idea where this hair came from or why? Get this, today I received two emails from the guy because he was pissed the auction closed at $1.00. The next email was because he saw I won at the last minute and if he were me he would send more money but it is up to me. He is still going to send the hair though. I have been doing Ebay for awhile and never had this happen - what a jerk! I think I will just take this hair and donate it to Locks of Love and have them do what they want with it. I am then going to go with my first plan of buying the bohyme hair with the microlinks. After reading all of your posts I don't even want to touch this ponytail now - eeeeewh!

Well, This is all I can really add, first time extension wear and first experience ever with extensions so take my advice as just that…first time advice.
My stylist used Byhome Hair both machine and hand to combine the color of blonde. She used the fusion method with keratin based glue and so far so good. I have had one extension come out and have minimal damage…so far. I do check at my scalp to see if there is a lot of hair either pulling or breaking and I haven’t seen anything alarming, but that may change when I have them taken out. I have had then since Thanksgiving, and have been really happy for the most part.
The difference I noticed with the hand tied and the machine tied is that the hand tied is fine and the machine is MUCH thicker. Both are wearing and washing well, curling well, and drying well. I do wash my hair every day and blow dry after…and I’m thankful some of the hair from the attachments fell due to weak bonding because it makes my hair much lighter and I’m not as afraid of damaging my own hair. In my book… my own hair is most prone to damage when it’s wet and vulnerable. I also use a good shampoo and conditioner not purchased in a grocery or discount drug store. I have used Bumble and Bumble products on the ends…I especially love the Prep. and use Phyto Prolief on the top of my own hair to build volume.
My feeling on the E-Bay deception…Its just not O.K. Even if you tip it yourself if its not treated or your not sure what you’re getting I think for health reasons and safety its better to be avoided. Just my 2 cents and that about all its worth
If you're really getting unprocessed hair put in a pony, cut off and sold directly, it's about as raw/virgin as you can get.
There's questions that this kind of hair can become a tangled mess when installed. And then we get right back into the debate of what's remy and is hair that's been stripped of its cuticle really the best hair for extensions?
My head is swimming with all the conflicting information.
