WOW!!! Thank you Jenny. You are like an ambassador to the extension world! This has been a tremendous help. I''ve spent hours researching and haven''t come across anything as usefull as these links. I had considered trainind with GL, Cinderella, Eurolocs only because that was all I thought exsisted. However, I know realize it''s not as profitable to use these systems due to the high cost of hair. With that said...I am not knocking any of the above companies as I''m sure they are good for some.
Bridget...I too am in Ohio and certification for extensions are not required. Although, certification (basically a piece of paper to hang on the wall) seems to make you more reputable and legit.
And Finally..... KIM LET IT GO!!!!! Obviously your the only person not benefiting from this site.

Thanks, Bridget. I'm glad you're finding it useful. I posted this information because I believe very strongly that people need to be armed with a lot of specific information before they get extensions. It's not a haircut or an updo--it's a big, costly decision that, all too often, can result in disaster. As consumers (and also for the stylists here), it's critical that we know as much as possible; otherwise, we're just at the mercy of the hair companies (who always say their product is the best for every client). I learned this the hard way, but hopefully, if they have access to the information they need, others can avoid some of what I went through.

Thanks--and right back at 'ya. You've both contributed a great deal to these boards; I've certainly learned a lot by reading your posts.

By the way, let me know if there are any links you'd like to add to the above post (you can BM me). I think I'm the only one who can edit the original list because I wrote it, so I'd be happy to add more links. Otherwise, they can obviously be added to the rest of the thread.

I must say, I wish we could organize this board a bit more like Quinn's--by subject and with stickies when necessary--but I guess we'll figure it out as we go.

lisa lisa, how long have you been wearing Hairlocs? Are you satisfied with them?

Hey Jenny, I was so excited that I was going to be able to buy my own starter kit so I could do my own maintenance on my Hairloc's,however, every site that you suggested, say's in small print that you have to be a licensed beautician and they don't sell to the public. Do you have any other suggestions?? Thanks for all your help, I know everybody really appreciates all the time you take to inform us all.
