LOL I must have a really small head then cause I just barely get 1 full weft of 18 inch in my head and when I ordered 3 packs of 18 inch pre-tipped I only used a pack and a half. When Ive done micro links I barely get in 120-140.
SHE human hair blend, 18", #4 with Supertape.

Yeah. I've used 12 oz. of 24 inch before. Four oz. would be way too thin for me. :)

I use 8 ounces of 18" hair all the time. If someone's got a short cut, sometimes it takes that much hair to fill it out and cover the ridge where their hair ends.

8 oz is an aweful lot. I'd suggest that if someone wanted say, 25" hair.

Everything I already said, especially since your real hair is already long. :)

I think we're running two threads on this. Here's the other one: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP934431446&id=4379

With 12-inch hair, I would think 8 oz. would be more than enough. Keep in mind that it looks like a lot less hair when it's in the package, but when you separate it, there's more there than you think. If you want to be safe, order 12 oz., but anything more than that and I think it will be too heavy on your head (you do want to make sure that you're attaching the extensions to enough of your real hair that they will be well supported).

Good luck! :)

The hair I ordered is only 12 in. My hair is thick I like my extensions to make my hair look real full as well.

depends on how long the extensions are, how thick your hair is, and how thick you want them to be.

I was wondering how many ounces of hair do you need to do your entire head in micro links
