In the 2 times that I've used synthetic hair, I've found that it was no shinier than my real hair after 2 washes. Then again I don't color my hair so it's not as dull as bleached hair can be. Using a very light mist of shine spray on your own hair should the difference not so obvious.

I've heard that the shine of synth subsides somewhat after a few washes, but is it possible that certain styling products would also "dull" the hair a bit?

Obviously, most styling products are designed to add, rather than remove, shine, but I thought it might be possible that there's something out there.

Any ideas? :)
