slightly OT - wigs

Jenny has fabulous looking wigs.

Remember that sometimes the circumference of the mannequin heads can be smaller than your own so what looks like a nice mid-back length may not be as long as the photo once it's on your own head. It's a good idea to measure around your head where the wig will lay and then ask the seller what the mannequin's head measures. has some great ones, too. I have one and it's an auburn shag cut that is stunning. I bought it for $30 less than what Jenny offered on her site.

I know some of the ladies here have had some experience with wigs, so I hope you can enlighten me. I'm thinking of getting a short wig, just because I've never had short hair and don't know what it looks like on me and because it would shock the hell out of most of the people I know. =)

I've tried ones on at costume places before, but they all look really fake. I've heard recommendations for Jenny's Hair Sense. I thought this one from her shop was cute:

I don't want to spend a lot of money, because it just won't get a whole lot of use. What features should I look for? Which merchants do you recommend or not recommend?
