OK Christie, Spill the beans!! I need to find out where you got the extensions done! I'll BM you. (I'm sorry but I hate that expression - you know what I mean). Thanks, Fina

It was in the 'temporary weft bonding' thread about a week ago. I was gonna post the thread link but Christi has removed the link to her pictures.... maybe she plans on putting up new ones or just didnt want to leave all her pictures online.
LOL! Well, I'm afraid I'm going to be "outed" already since I won the preliminaries with shorter hair! Oh well, last years winner has extensions in (she is in charge of the contest this year), and I would have never known if she wouldn't have told me. As far as the pageant I'm in on the 26th (a completely different event), they do not know I have extensions in, because all of my photos I've ever sent in, the workshop I attended with all the girls several months ago, etc.~ I had the extensions in. So, now I just look like they "expect" me to look once again! Thanks again for your kind words!

LOL! Thanks, you're a sweetie! I was in a 'Miss Hawaiian Tropic' contest a few weeks ago (I'll be in the finals on March 4th~ WITH long hair this time!), and my hair looked hidious! I had no idea until I saw the pictures afterwards! It just looked so "scraggly" and icky~ definitely NOT sexy! But I really appreciate your kind words! [/QUOTE]
Miss Hawaiian Tropic?!! Ohmygod. How is that possible after having all those kids?! Just kidding. Congratulations and good luck! And don't worry: when you win, we won't 'out' you about your hair. As far as this board is concerned, you're just blessed with thick long gorgeous hair.

Wow Christy. That's quite the comparison shopping you did! Good for you for finding the best person for the job. Glad to hear it went well for you. I just want to put my 2 cents in here and second your comment about long hair being the best and feeling sexy again....weird, but true. I had brain surgery for a benign tumor last April and the worst part about the whole ordeal was having my waist length hair cut off and head shaved. Truly, the whole rest of it - surgery, recovery, etc - was absolutely no problem, but I just did not feel like myself until recently when I put in those shrinkies (which have been staying in lately thanks to Sherrie's suggestion to cook them longer! lol). I do maintenance on my hair every night, adding and taking out, etc. but it is SOO worth it because now I that my hair looks normal (long), I feel normal. But not before that. Weird, I know. But true. Thank you ALL for all your fantastic ideas - without this board, I'd be stuck with a sewn in weave and a mullet and be miserable.
Bless your heart, girl! I hope you are doing well (health-wise) now! I know what you mean about this board...I just found it last week and I'm SO addicted! It's the best! Everyone around here (that I know anyway) seems to think I'm off my rocker for putting so much "emphasis" on my hair, but it truly makes me feel like a completely different person. So I can completely relate to everything you just said. I'm so glad your hair is working so well for you and that you love it so much! Have you posted pictures of it? I would love to see it! Let me know!

I've been having tracts glued in for quite some time now, but they only last me a good 2-3 weeks at the longest. I've got a few big "events" coming up soon, so I needed some long, gorgeous hair that will last a bit longer. I think I called 50-75 places within a 200 mile radius, and I found someone to do them extremely cheap (including the hair, she only charged me $425!!!). I was quoted $6 a strand from EVERYONE else, and was given estimates anywhere from $750-1200 from everyone else as well. The funny thing is, each and every one of these people got their training from the exact same person, use the exact same technique, and buy their hair from the same wholesaler (the guy that trained them all). I have no idea WHY this particular girl charged me so little, but she did an AWESOME job, and they look fabulous! She put in the wavy hair, so it's a little above my waist right now, but once straightened, they go down to my waist. She also does a FREE check every 4 weeks, AND she gave me a FREE brush to use on them. I'm so glad I found her! So, if anyone is Oklahoma and would want the fusion extensions, I would be glad to share her info. Just BM me! Also, I'll post some before and after pictures once my husband get's home tonight (it might be tomorrow before I can actually get the photos online though). Isn't long hair the best?! I finally feel "sexy" again!!!! haha!
