Rae: I thought Boogiemama said heat-seals can be done with human; she just incorporates bits of synth hair to do it? (I think that's how she explained it.) I don't imagine this would be the easiest, though. :)

Edited to say: Ab, where are you located? There are a few of us here who can give you some names; otherwise, check out the hairpolice.com site for affiliates. Good luck!

Actually, heat-seals can't be done with human hair, as the hair doesn't melt. :) But pinchbraids are awesome, and many other methods (shrinkies, microrings, etc) show promise- it's just a matter of finding the right stylist.

What area are you looking in? Perhaps one of us would know of someone good in your area.

Don't get Great Lengths! I agree with the other girls, pinch braids or heat seals are great. Also, you could buy some shrinkies and do that method too.

The least expensive method would be to buy/make some clip in hair extensions.

With Great Lengths, you'll spend a whole lot of money, and can't reuse the hair. So after wearing the extensions for 12 weeks (which is the longest you should go so you don't damage your hair) if you still want extensions, they charge you the same ridiculous amount to have them redone.

Good luck!

Personally, I wouldn't recommend GLs. I used to have them, but I think they're WAY overpriced and fusion methods can be risky. GLs hair is nice, but the method was very damaging for my real hair.

Like Mer, I would recommend pinchbraids or heat-seals (Dome method). Either of these can be done with syntheic or human hair--it's your choice; they're easier on the hair, imo, and much less expensive.

:)
