apparenticeships generally take longer and can be extremely hard to find but they are a good way of building a clientele. school takes less time generally but can be expensive and makes it hard to build a clientele.

Can anyone give me the pros and cons of apprenticeship vs school?

I am interested in learning the craft and feel I would be very good at it. How would one go about contacting salons about working for them as an apprentice cosmetologist vs going thru a traditional cosmetology school? Any thoughts or feedback are appreciated.
