well im not really light skinned i more like a medium complection lol ... i got my hair mostly from my dads side ... my grandmother was half white and i think my grandfather is too (ive never asked .. he prolly wouldnt admit to it any way) so my dad has that mixed people hair and is ofcourse light skinned and he brushes it back and has 3 waves ... my hair is a lil bit curlier and thicker than his cause of my mom .. but then theres my sister who has nappy hair

I'm not sure if you are seriouse about the No offence to your biologist cousin, but slavery has nothing to do with your structure of DNA. Like all creatures of the world our bodies develope to fit our environment. Example: People with darker skin are found in areas closer to the equater since darker skin helps block more UV rays from the sun I havn't read any articles regarding what benefit Black people's hair provides, but I slavery is not the cause. Remember black people were not the only people that have been enslaved.
well both my parents were born in Africa ( Liberia) but dat place was founded by former slaves meaning dey originated from some other area ( cause i gotta french last name)
Well i neva had bad hair, its jus der was a time i neva cared about my hair,i know my dad had waves and all he use was dat dax green grese from men and brush in da mornin he aint use no du rag or nuffin, me when i started brushin my hair it got wavey onece i under stood u had to grow yo hair a lil to get waves cause i always had curly hair.
I neva had dem mix folks hair, but i aint have dat nigga hair either

NAPS COME FORM YEARS OF JUST LETTING HAIR PILE UP.....THEY DIDN'T HAVE BRUSHES THEN...WELL THEY DID...THEY JUST DIDN'T LET BLACKS USE THEM, AND SINCE OUR HAIR IS SO THICK; IT NEEDS TO BE TAMMED IN ORDER FOR IT NOT TO BE NAPPY, THATS WHY WE BRUSH SO MUCH.
