no, her hair is naturally curly. once on Oprah they talked a whole ten minutes on her hair, expecially about the time she cut it short. She says she has the kind of hair that goes straighter when it is shorter. (I have the same hair type) The longer it is, and if you style it as such, the curlier it gets.

Julia's best look was her super-short cut she got for her role as Tinkerbell in "Hook"

Hairmonitor, have you ever noticed that all of your posts in threads like this are "`s best look was her super-short style in/for ".

Doesn`t any women look good without short hair? =)
3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.

I hate to say this is much ado about nothing, but this is much ado about nothing. Julia was on David Letterman`s show the night before the event at which she had curly hair and her hair was perfectly straight, full and awesome looking on Letterman. She even asked Dave how he liked her hair and he said he did! The perm must have been for a special event. LOL

I really liked her hair on the Mexican.

Does anyone know whether this was a perm or just regular styling? It looks to me like she just had pincurls done to style it, but if there is a perm out there that gives results like that (ie, at the beginning, before it got all frazzled & straightened out) that would be really good news.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but for my money it is better than the absolutely straight, almost stringy look she had on the "Today" show this week. Granted, I think she has had more flattering hairdos (e.g., "The Mexican," even though I`m not particularly a fan of the "bedhead" look).

Didn`t miss but wish I had... hated it! Julia Robert is on my list of celbs. w/ ever changing but almost always bad hair. Such a shame... so much potential.
