Not to be too picky but it's actually Sex AND the City. I watch it whenever I can. one of the reasons I have HBO -- that and Curb Your Enthusiasm:)

First off, "Sex in the City" was not cancelled. The starts & producers decided to end the series. They had been saying for quite some time that the sixth season would be there last. It has absolutly nothing to do with Sarah Jessica Parker`s haircut! That was like over a year ago anyway. Secondly, to stop watching a show because because one of the characters got a haircut is just dumb. It has no influence or effect on the quality of the show or the performance of an actor. Finally, Keri Russell`s haircut did lead to the cancellation of "Felicity," although everyone loves to use it as a scape goat. She cut her hair at the beginning of the second season, the show didn`t end until the end of the fourth, & her hair was long again by then! The drop in ratings at the beginning of the second season, can be atributied to several factors. One was the move to Sunday nights, this really killed the show, in it`s first season, it was coupled with "Dawson`s Creek," which worked out well because shows attracted the same audience. The move to Sunday, broke up this pair & the compition became to tough. That also coupled with the fact the during the first season of the show there was the whole Ben?Noel love triangle & wonder over who Felicity would choose. After this was decide in the second season premire, some people choose not to watch it any further, for what ever reason. (Many have said they were unhappy with her decision). This lead to her haircut, &, IMO, lead to a very strong & successful second season, despite the declining ratings. J. J. Abrams has also said that he always saw the show as a four year show, showcasing Felicity`s collage years, & going longer then that might streach it creativly. Four seasons is exactly how long it lasted. I don`t think the haircut is to blame, eventhough everyone will always say it is.

I check out the entertainment photos at yahoo and one of the photos had a caption saying that it will end after the 6th season. No reasons as to why though.
Any word on why "Sex in the City" will be cancelled after this season? Did it have anything to do with Sarah Jessica Parker`s haircut. I haven`t watched the show since she got the cut. But then again, I haven`t watched the show since I watched an episode in which SJP smoked like a chimney. Kinda ruined her squeaky-clean image for me.
Anyway, I just wondered if ratings had fallen since her new hairdo. By the way, Keri Russell`s haircut that led to low ratings and the eventual cancellation of "Felicity" was listed 18th on the all-time "Celebrity Oops" list publshed by E! For the whole list, see www.eonline.com/On/Rank/Shows/CelebOops/index.htm.
