The great hair mystery of life continues. In the footsteps of Beyonce Knowles and Catherine Zeta Jones, Gwenyth Paltrow's bangs are also here today, gone tomorrow. After appearing on magazine covers with bangs, Gwenyth was without them last night on the "Tonight Show." It doesn't appear they grew out. It appears they were never there to begin with.

On the other hand, Heather Graham's bangs are more prominent than ever... and I like it:

I'm not sure what was last reported about Selma Blair, but I don't remember her looking like this before:

More bangs: Holly Valance. Not sure if this is really news -- but I don't remember having seen her with bangs before.

I read somewhere that JLo wore pin on bangs from time to time. Has anyone heard this and knows whether it is true or not?

Kudos to JerfyFlea for the big bang theory on celebs for the Summer. I agree that Brooke and Ms. Paltrow both look great with bangs. As long as Alyssa Milano doesn't go back to her tiny baby bangs I think that even she would look good with bangs.

Another vote for Brooke with bangs. The bangs also look good on G. Paltrow.

I think she looks better without bangs. Or she needs to have them cut shorter.

She looks very different with bangs. She's beautiful either way, but I think I prefer her with bangs.

I agree with everything J/F said. Jennifer Aniston needed shorther bangs though. Speaking of Jennifers, Jennifer Love hewitt looks hot with bangs but she does not like bangs and even when she has bangs tends to push them off to the side, but when she wears them down and has them trimmed she looks hot. I like woman that have long hair and short bangs it looks so sexy for some reason, (yeh Gord I said long hair looked sexy.).

i think brook sheilds looks really pretty with bangs. when jenifer aniston had bangs you really couldn't tell. they were long and very few. it makes me irritated that in the celebrity hair they are always off in reporting it. in celebrity hair magazine there can be half a year off or more! bangs aren't just new.

I heard that at the Chanel runway show (spring 2003), that all the models had to have bangs. I heard that the models had to have the bangs cut if they didn't have any (no fakes). Here is a site that shows the models.

And I might add, they look great with the bangs

Article in USAToday on bangs being the hot new trend and which celebs have and/or should have them: http://www.usatoday.com/life/2003-06-23-bangs_x.htm

Sure, the trend is at least six months old now, but hey, at least they NOTICED. =) The part I wanted to comment on was when they asked Frederic Fekkai who should have bangs...

Hollywood is filled with stars who could benefit from summer bangs, Fekkai says. Brooke Shields would look "great." Courteney Cox? "Fantastic on her." Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek and Charlize Theron would look good too, he says.

Good to see it's a current article, since Charlize Theron has HAD them for a few weeks now (and looks good with them). Anyway, as for the others he mentioned...

- Brooke Shields - I've been saying she should do this again for years. Again, you ask? Yup, look how good they looked the last time (I apologize for the bad pics): http://ropublisher.virtualave.net/brooke.jpg
http://www.galleryofcelebrities.com/s/shields29.jpg

- Courteney Cox - Have liked her with and without them, but they looked great with her current long layered 'do last year. Too bad she grew them back out.

- Jennifer Aniston - Would have to be done right, but could work. They looked pretty good in "Rock Star", but I wasn't completely sold. Maybe the rest of her hair was a little too long...(http://us.imdb.com/EGallery?source=ss&group=0202470&photo=Ss/0202470/kit2.jpg&path=gallery&path_key=0202470)

- Salma Hayek - Yes. She hasn't done it before and they would look terrific on her.

Anyway, that's my $.02. Won't even get back into the fact that Leelee Sobieski, Jennifer Garner, Helen Hunt, and Jillian Barberie should get them. But don't let that stop you.

JF

P.S. Oddly not wild about Gwyneth's. But then again, never been wild about Gwyneth.
3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.
