Ashley was on "Letterman" last night. Dave wasn't, but she was there. Her hair has grown out about to chin length. She wore it with soft curls at the bottom. I'd guess that this look better approximates her "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" character than her shorter hair.
While her hair looked good, I still favor the short pixie from the beginning of the year.

Ashley's current "butch-glam" style is interesting; it is bold, daring and totally different. With the hair, you'd expect her to be wearing biker's duds or leather. Instead, she's decked out in Valentino, Versace and Ungaro. She's definitely pushing the envelope with the conventions of gender and style. Like the cover page says, Ashley Judd -- Taking Risks. Whatever the consensus on the look is, I like it.
I realize this look may not work for some women, or most, but she wears it well and her femininity and beauty are subtly accentuated. Certainly, they are never in question.

*shrugs* It's a little too tall up top, in that last pic, but not too bad. Slick hair is fine with me, so long as the woman has a face worth showing off so much.
Agreed: She looks great in her short pixie. In the last picture when she combs her short hair back like a "50s greaser", she looks silly, although she's so cute she still doesn't look bad.
The very short hair looks very good on her in the first picture, but in the last one, where it's pushed off her face her forehead looks huge and her face looks longer.
