Ms. Carpenter did a layout for "In Style" right after her haircut. She said that it was she who wanted to get rid of her extensions and cut her hair short. She needed a change. At first, she just highlighted her dark locks, but later she went shorter and blonder.

I've always thought that Charisma was beautiful. I loved her hair, until she highlighted and cut it short. She said in an interview that the producers of Angel requested the color and length change so that she'd look different from the only other woman on the show. I always thought they should have left Charisma's beautiful, thick, dark hair alone and if someone had to change it should have been the new actress, whose hair was nothing special.

She's on the cover of the next edition of "Playboy." I don't know about the photos on the inside, but her hair on the cover looks fantastic. (Cue Hal and others for snide remarks.)
