It looks good, specifically because it is crying out for a good cut or at least a tidy up. When you look at her hair you can't help but wonder how it will look in a few days' time when she eventually gets round to asking her stylist to finish the job!
Every picture I see of it just makes me shake my head. I really liked short hair on her. I can't think of one thing I specifically don't like about the cut. Its almost exactly how I wish my wife would cut hers. Yet it just looks bad. There's something not quite right about it. I think its just exactly the wrong lenght where the longer middle strands highlight her round face and the short bangs make her continually have her head crooked. Her bangs should either be short enough to be combed down or long enough to tuck behind her ears. The hair on the side should either be be closer in length to the rest, or longer so there is actualcontrast. As is it just is terrible.
I love it, I had been hoping she would cut it again and she did. What a great birthday present, thank you Mandy!!!!! She is so sexy and so sweet, and looks so awesome with short hair, some girls look better with long hair but Mandy is not one of them. I like her new cut it looks great on her, much better then what she just got rid of. She was quoted as saying she gets bord with her hair and likes to change allot which we have seen first hand the last several years. Be nice if more woman were as adventures as Mandy is with her hair( hint Anna Kournikova).
I was questioning that too when I saw Mandy on "Regis" this morning. The length is about the same as she had it two years ago, middle of ears in the front and a little below the chin in back. So what's the problem? Why did she look a lot cuter then?
Well, she was pushing it off her face a lot, but that's not that big a deal. She was wearing one of her puffy shirts that make her look fat, but that should have nothing to do with her hair. (Why do women wear these? I understand being comfortable with your body image, but why wear a shirt that makes you look fatter?)
I think the problem is that the layers are too long. Her hair looks pretty much one length and flat. When she had it short before, the layers were short. They flipped out. And it looked cute on her.
Now her hair lies flat. That would be great if her hair were an inch or two shorter in a pixie or longer at shoulder length. But now, her hair just looks boring. If she's going to keep it this length, she needs shorter flippy layers.
I'm telling you there's just something about this cut that is just not right. I like short hair on her in general but she needs it re-done. Cut and color are way too boring for her.
So the answer is a clear yes. No chance its pulled back or anything. It went from long and blonde to short and brown.
I'm anxious to see how she styles it on her upcoming shows. In the meantime I'll say I'm disappointed. A very bland, 50's ish type cut with bangs that kind of hang in her eyes and the volume up front. Probably the shortest in back she's ever had it. As someone who REALLY liked her short look I find this boring and a downgrade. She looked best when she was moderately funky and playfull. On GMA she looked like a housewife.
