Well, as you may have noticed, this was reported by the ever reliable Star magazine, so I'd say take it with a grain of salt. Especially since on of the films in Halle's pipeline is "Nappily Ever After" (based on one of Halle's favorite books), about a woman who cuts her long, processed hair short and the ramifications there of in her life, relationships, etc.
So, if Halle does indeed star as Venus in that film and in the unlikely case that the Star is correct, we could be treated to the irony of Halle wearing a SHORT hair wig for the part.

*shrugs* I feel I show a more balanced viewpoint than many people on these boards, as I have no problem complimenting short- or long-haired women, if I think they deserve it. And since I don't like people who enter a topic for no other reason than to hate on someone, I refrain from commenting on discussions for celebs I really dislike or have nothing kind to say about. So even the people I give criticism or advice for improvement on, you can be assured I do like or care about on some level. That's more than can be said for some other posters here. It's likely the reason I get so many insults is because I have such a playful way of speaking sometimes. I attract more attention by saying I want to send Halle a shining crystal to drive the darkness out, than I would if I just said "I don't like her in long hair. I really wish she would reconsider." But I prefer to be fun and creative rather than boring and straightforward with comments, so if that preference buys me a few detractors here and there, so be it.
Kuroneko is just having some fun with some of her "dramatic" pro-short hair statements.
I agree with Hal's statement. It is very unlikely that Halle will never cut her hair again, particullarily since she looks so adorable in short hair, and I'm sure she knows that.
Vineman, This is about the seventh time you have told us now that you find Halle Berry not very attractive. Every time her name comes up on a thread you seem to have a need to let us know that. Other than the fact that you are probably the only man on earth that finds Halle "ordinary" or not very attractive, your continual repeating of this statement is getting redundant. You have also let us know on a number of occasions that you don't care for short hair on women. That's fine to have your opinion,, but try taking the positive once in a while. Instead of being critical of hairstyles you don't like, try praising hairstyles that you do like. That's what most of us try and do here. Try being a little less negative. It would be appreciated.
Back to the topic: The reason some people are not particullarily thrilled with Halle growing out her hair is, as someone mentioned, she has unusually nice facial features, head shape, neck, etc. that goes particullarily well with ultra-short hair.
I'm sorry Kuro, I have to agree. Can't you just leave someone keep their hair? Maybe Halle will come up with the best long hairstyle that suits her ever for all you know, but you'd never admit it sine you never consider it as an option.
I love long hair, but I can appreciate cute short dos, as I've pointed out before. I thought Halle's was a bit overly short. I've seen some girls that look cute in short hair/pixies, although generally the longer variety. I don't reckon she's one of them. sorry.
I think you're doing through some kind of defensive thing, being "overconfident" in your short hair as such. Who knows, you might actually not mind long hair deep down =P
Just leave people to their hair. How would you feel if someone hassled you over your short hair the whole time, or it's colour, or it's shape?
I personally think Halle look just amazing with her extensions and with her saying she will never cut again, thats just FANTASTIC!!! Halle was a gorgeous young lady before but now with the longer locks, absolutely amazing.......
Kuroneko, what is your problem? You have constantly put down, badgered every female that has decided to keep their long hair, or grow their short hair into longer lengths. If you hate long hair, thats fine but putting ones down because they do have long hair is just low class by you! I love long hair on any ladies actresses, or anyone even guys if they choose that route, thats fine that decide to have it but if they choose one day to cut it, it doesn`t stop me from not liking them as it is with you.....

Well, she's just been through a break-up. A lot of long-haired chicks cut their hair after a break-up, so maybe she's going through kind of a short-haired chick's version of that? *shrugs* But if she can change her mind and decide she wants long all of a sudden, she's just as likely to change her mind again and get rid of it later. So it may not be entirely the end of the world. Although if she strays to the other side too long, I might have to send her a care package with a shining, silvery crystal inside that will drive the darkness out of her and bring her back to the side of right! *giggles insanely*

I don't think it's a short hair fetish thing with Halle. She looks great with it long, of course, but with her face, her neck and even her shoulders she looks better with it short. (Please note that it's possible for someone to look good both ways, and still look better yet in one of them.) The shorter lengths highlight those features more, while the long hair, except when pulled back, tends to hide and overwhelm them.
Of course, I've made no secret of the fact that I think the Swordfish look was her best ever... after that, I take her look in 'The Program' (long, straight), then her very short look and then her long ringlets.
This board has quite a lot of short hair fetishists, which is why it won't go down well =P
She DOES look better with long.
And no, she shouldn't keep it short. How would you like it if you saw people wiritng into magazines and **** saying "Ooh I don't like Halle's hair it's crap she should go back to the way it was".
Hair is a sensitive sbject.
Not only that, the reason people liked the short hair look better was a lot to do with her dressing sexier - everyone remembers the Ursala Andress Scene from Die Another Day. She hasn't dressed like that since the extensions.
Also, was that her real hair she cut or just a wig in catwoman? Seems like a waste of extensions.

I personally like longer hair, but I would never expect it on everyone..especially Halle Berry! She looks so much better with it short and should keep it that way. But, there's not much we can do, and if she wants to grow it we should respect her in her decision. Oh, and I was banned but I'm back. There was a problem that happened that had nothing to do with me. And, working with the support staff was great. I was apologized to about this, which I thought was very nice!

Once quoted in People magazine saying, "my hair will always be short" and long known to short hair lovers as the celebrity who looks best with her short and shorter hair styles, Halle Berry show's once again it's a women's perogative to change her mind.
If anyone here could ever find a better example of a Hollywood star who had a face "made for short hair" it seems you'd better start looking...
In this report, lovely Halle is alledgedly quoted as so accustomed to how she looks in her extensions that she plans to grow her own out long and vows never to cut her hair short again.
