QuoteReplyTopic: Extensions: How do you speed up removal? Posted: October 14 2000 at 11:11am
Actually, you weren't far wrong! My friend is not known for her patience, and after a few unsuccessful attempts with oil, took to tugging them out herself. She is now left with a line of stubble at the back of her head, so it is just fortunate that her hair is shoulder-length anyway, so effectively covers it up.
What a blooper. As you say, don't try this at home!

How does your friend feel about this look?! Unless someone has experience with these things, I just honestly wouldn't take matters into my own hands at all!!
BTW, your post was written some time ago, so obviously "something" has happened since then!
A friend of mine has changed her mind about her extensions, but can't find a salon that will remove them quickly. Does anyone know of any treatment that can be used to break down the adhesive used in these cases? Acetone and olive oil have been suggested, do these work or has anyone any other ideas please? Thanks (on Tracey's behalf).
