heather is right about what she should do. as for why it happened, ive had this happen before too, and the cause could be that she didnt have enough of the dye where the orange patches showed up. you have to completely saturate the hair for the dye to take evenly.
I would suggest that your friend goes for a darker colour for even coverage all over her hair. I had the same problem, and you have to use a powerful permanent colour to get the spots away- it`s really awkward to do- but assure her it is possible- have a word with your local salon and they should be able to reccommend a colour strong enough, and if they`re any good, it won`t look awful afterwards! She had her hair dyed, but it was faded, so she decided to dye it a deep red. Something went wrong, and it now has random patches of bright orange. what happened? Is there any way to fix this, and dye over it another color?
