I`ve Got Tha same problem!!!! i`s terrible, my hair became orange! I want it out out out! I`m to chicken to go to the haidresser because I`m afraith that`s gonna cost me, and they never did any good to my hair, so I dont`t trust them either. I`m thinking about it to colour my own hair. I`m going to use a semi-permanent medium blonde with an ashy base. I hope I won`t become green, cause that would be the nightmare of the century....anyway, good luck with your hair and good luck to myself too!!!!!
or something with a purple base... but more of a blue hue than purple. think of a color wheel, the oposite of red is gree, the oposite of yellow is purple, the oposite of orange is blue.... so any toner in a green to purple range will give you the desired effect. just remeber that red is teh hardest color to remove.

Yes what you have heard is true. Ashy colors will add the tones needed to HIDE the orange or golden tones you are getting now. What they do is cancel out the orange or gold by adding a green base tone to the hair causing it to nuetralize the orange. Dont worry your hair will not turn green.
