I suggest waiting 4-6 weeks before applying henna. I also suggest a strand test before use to ensure the chosen color brings the desired result. You should also be aware that henna often goes a bit darker after a week or so.

Good luck!

I don't think you're supposed to put henna over hair that has been colored with anything other than henna previously.. you could end up with a really funky color.

Have you tried using a color-depositing shampoo and/or conditioner? It won't lighten your roots any, and it may deposit enough on the ends to even out the color.

you could try putting a little gel in the ends. gel darkens the color up just a little, and it might make the hair colors blend together better. you could also try a dark brown henna based dye. this dye only deposits color, and it conditions as it does so. just make sure you apply it only to the ends, and save as much of the misture as you can so that if the color does not come out even, you can fix it later. just put the extra in a sealed container in the fridge, and it will keep for weeks.

you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair, that could turn out bad)

I decided to stop coloring my hair, so that it would stop breaking and I could have it long again. I started 4 months ago and the reults are great, the length has not increased a lot because still most of my hair is brittle and damaged, but the roots are incredibly different in texture from my colored hair, it's just how it used to be.

My question is this one, I plan to keep this, my natural color is a dark brown and I have it colored a very light brown in some parts because of the damage is blonde, so the 4 month old roots are starting to contrast pretty strongly. I dont want to make my ends go through some chemical process , since they are so damaged, so what can I do , what can I use to darken my ends to kind of even them to my roots without it being to chemical, because as I said I dont want to process them anymore.

Thank you in advance
