Hey btc99,
I also wear my hair in pony tails when is curly. What you should use to make your hair look natural but controlled is Control Gel by Artec. I swear by this gel. The amount of hold depends on the amount you use, but it doesn't toast your hair, trust me i have thick curly hair.

Hey you guys! I wear my curly hair in a ponytail most of the time--its about down to my bra strap and medium sized curls--what i usually do is brush it up when it is wet so it has a sleek unnatural look. Not only is this ruining my hair but it looks fake and i am tired of it. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can pull my wet-sometimes dry-hair up into a high ponytail that isn't frizzy and poofy but natural looking? I know this is a lot to ask for but i need help! Thanks
