Hi Ingrid and good luck! Don`t be nervous. I had to do the same thing when I colored my pretty brown hair one too many times. It was fried with a capital F. Even though I hated cutting it, afterwards I constantly reminded myself that even though it was long before, it looked and felt terrible. Healthy hair at ANY length looks fabulous.
And remember, less hair means less money spent on shampoo, conditioner and styling products. :-) Let us know how it turns out!

Hiya Ingrid, don`t worry! I know it seems like the worst thing ever right now, but cutting off the damaged part is the right thing to do. I know because I`ve been there (and so have a whole lot of other people on this board, probably)! Just look on the bright side, it`ll all be nice and healthy afterwards! Good luck!
Hey everybody! I`m going to get my hair cut tomorrow, and I`m really nervous! I`m writing this in the middle of the night because I woke up having bad dreams about it! I`ve been growing it out for about two and a half years now, and I`m going to get at least 5 in. cut off, since its in such bad shape. Of course, if it goes badly, you`ll probably hear me crying wherever you are :( But, its so horrible right now that I can`t do anything else with it. Wish me Luck, OK? Love ya! Ingrid
