Yea I agree, ceramic straighteners work great! Also I think the best straightener I have ever used was at the salon I go to, and it is the Paul Mitchell one. But you have to be a lisenced hair dresser to get one. :( Lucky for me I am getting it for X-Mas from my bf's step-mom since she is a hair dresser! But yea I would go with a ceramic straightener!
The ceramics straighteners work really well...although they cost a lot!!! But it's really worth it...the prices vary from $50-$150...mine was about $85 and I love it!!!

my friends all use the straighteners and they dont have curly hair but wavy i have naturally curly hair that i want to do an updo for the formal this upcoming friday but i dont want it to be perminantly straight do the straightners really work and if so which 1s work best.
also is there a way to get tight sprial curls just on the sides
