I have a curler that I use, and it can go wrong. What I do is leave about 3cm of hair at the bottom out of the curler so it stays straight, and makes the curl look less harsh, the ends are straight and the rest is curly. Use thick sections of hair, spray it with hair spray and the separate the big curls into a few smaller ones. I dont know if that helps you but it works for me!

Oh No don't perm just yet.
Try different roller sizes and setting techniques to give different effects (curls, waves and spirals. Also don't put on too much mousse or spritzing spray or it will be too tight a curl and give a really poor effect.
Rather than putting rollers into damp hair you can try using heated rollers on dry hair - generally softer effect.
What style are you after?
Semi/Temporary curl, wave and colour creator: please try before any perm!

Well, how about a small curling iron - 1/2" - if you want spirals that will last a while. It takes a while to go through your whole head of hair, but the results are great! Also, sort of obvious but you could get a perm ... curls are really back in, especially in the way of "texture", but once you do this, then you'd be able to do a lot of different curly styles easier, and the curls wouldn't fall out as quick.

Okay, so I have like medium length(a few inches past my shoulders) straight blonde hair and I desperately want it curly. I tried using curlers, but when I take them out I look like flippin Martha Washington? Help anyone?
