i use a stuff called "breakthru" by optimum care. the everyday moisturizing strength lotion. it uses anti breakage ceramide technology. it works like a gem. my hair grew over halfway down my back ever since i started it, and it feels silky. whatever you do, do not wash your hair more than once every 2 weeks. you dont have to because you hair is dry. you need another oil to use when you get out of the shower, and a maintenance lotion for everyday.
Oh, sorry to hear that you`re not happy with the condition of your hair. The first thing that I would recommend is a good trim to take away those dry and breaking ends. Consistency is the key, whatever tactics used to get hair moisturized are the same ones you will need to use to keep it moisturized. In other words you can`t take care of your hair haphazardly, you have to do it everyday. That`s the only way you`ll see results. With that said, I would suggest weekly hot oil treatments, followed by a moisturizing shampoo, and deep conditioning protein treatment (like motions CPR). Make sure to wrap your hair at night with a silk scarf or bonnet to prevent breakage as you sleep, use wide tooth combs and be gentle with your hair. I oil the ends of my hair daily and that seems to keep them strong and breakage free! You may also want to consider taking a hair pill or mulitvitamin to nourish your new growth. I use Ultranourishair from gnc. I hope this info helps, and if you have any other questions, email me at caramela79@msn.com
My hair is very dry at the ends (like tiny straw strands), breaks all over the place, and doesn`t move. LOL.
I know I`m to blame for the dryness & breakage, I don`t put grease or any kind of oils in my hair (I mess with my hair a lot and I don`t like the way it feels.)
So, my point is, does anyone know of a product that will keep my hair conditioned and prevent breakage without feeling heavy and greasy?
1 more question, I have corse and unmanageble hair before I get a relaxer. What is the best relaxer you have used?
