Hi,
my hairs really thick and I had my hair thinned a while ago. It did make my hair more managable but it also made it frizzier and when it was down, it had a choppy kind of appearance around the back that made it lie funny and stick out. I wouldn`t really recommend this but its ok of you don`t plan on wearing your hair down.
Sammy

Britany, why dont you try flat ironing your hair. My hair is thick like yours too. I am also mixed race and i have had this problem for years, ive learned how to flat iron my hair so its not as thick as it usually is,and i can style it better as well. maybe you should try flatironing, but dont do what that other post said, ive never heard of that and you dont want to ruin your hair. Dont try the post about the sissors or what ever that was

You should read my thread! "I`m like Diana Ross` daughter" ha! I think we have the same hair! I`m not complaining but if you just want it less frizzy then try, at Sally`s Beauty Salon, Proclaim "glossing polish" for frizzies and then twist the curls around your fingers. It works GREAT for me! If you experience occasional dryness then try rubbing some Aveda "beautigying oil".

My name is Brittany and i am a teenage girl who is African-American and Caucasion i have long thick black hair that always gets frizzy and tangled but its not nappy. My problem is that my hair is so thick that i can`t do anything with it. Everyday it`s he same style which is parted down the middle and put into a bun. Do you have any advice for us teens that have all this hair and no styles for it.
