Reshondae, it`s not sweat that makes hair grow. The salt in sweat can actually cause breakage. You are experiencing growth from stimulated blood flow. When you excercise, blood is pumping thru your body, including the scalp and this causes growth. Same thing when it`s hot, that increases blood flow too. When it`s cooler out, scalp massages can help get the blood flowing up there to promote growth. Hope this helps.
I drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. It has helped me to cool down a bit during the blistering summer. I take Shen Min (will be switching to Ultra Nourishair next month), Silica, Flaxseed Oil, MSM, Evening Primrose Oil and Biotin. Also, I take a multi vitamin. It was hard at first taking all of these vitamins but I am used to it.
I went to my hairdresser today and he said that I might have grown 3 inches (after my last trim two months ago). I will be getting a relaxer next week so that will be the moment of truth.
Think positive at all times.

WELL, I NOTICED THAT WHEN I BEGAN EXERCISING FOR A WHILE MY HAIR STARTED TO GROW AT A DIFFERENT RATE. NOW WHEN YOU EXERCISE YOU SWEAT AND IN THE SUMMER YOU SWEAT FROM THE HEAT. WHEN YOU SWEAT YOUR PORES OPEN WHICH STIMULATE GROWTH.

Yes, I read somewhere that hair does grow faster in the summer. Why, I don`t know. I guess because during the blistery cold winter, the cold air is more drying to our hair, therefore hindering growth. I don`t know, so don`t quote me on that one. I think I read it in Sophisticate`s Black Hair Care Magazine. But, my hair does grow faster in the summer, and it is also less dry, I`m assuming because there is more moisture and humidity in the air. But, that isn`t a good thing either, because that causes frizzies.
I would like to know if anyone on this board has ever experienced any faster hair growth in the summer. I noticed that mine has grown much faster this summer. It could be a combination of the vitamins and water that I take every day.
