I know exactly what you are going through. I went on vacation last summer and got braids because I thought it would protect my hair. Ha! When I got home and took the braids out most of my hair had broken off. I knew that if I went to my hairdresser she would talk me into cutting most of it off. So instead I treated it at home without getting it cut. Well my hair continued to grow but I wasn`t seeing much improvement in the length because it kept breaking and the split ends got worse. Also my hair was very course and no amount of product would give me the shine or body that I wanted. Anyway I finally went to the beautician she cut my hair and it been doing much better since. In order for my hair to grow back healthy it really needed this. I know many people don`t believe in trimming their hair but I know for me it was necessary. I think if I had not gotten it trimmed I would be very close to being bald. Also after months of braiding my hair line was not what it used to be. Don`t get me wrong I like braids and I think if you don`t get braids that are to little and really take care of YOUR hair while it`s braided it could be helpful. But first things first deal with your damaged ends or you`ll never see a noticeable change.
Wash often and continue taking your vitamins too -they`re a life saver. Also I`ve been using wildgrowth for a few weeks now. I haven`t seen any remarkable growth but it does make my hair feel really soft. However, the smell is almost unbearable. When I`m done with this bottle I`ll be going back to olive oil and essential oils like rosemary.
Thank you so much!!! I just get my end clipped and get a wetset. Do you use wildgrowth and how does your bottle look, because I went on a certain web page said that there is two different bottles of wildgrowth and one doesn`t really help like the others. My bottle is white with a red cap. also does it really help grow your hair.
In my opinion I think you should just cut the splits now and DO NOT GET MICROBRAIDS, I think that will cause even more problems. Thinning hair lines, alopecia, etc. I don`t think braid are the healthiest thing for growing your hair out. Just continue to take excellent care of your hair once you get that trim and it will grow out in no time! It will probably look and feel a whole lot better too. But again, I say leave the braids alone
OK I`VE BEEN TRYING TO GROW MY HAIR FOR THE LONGEST. I JUST RECENTLY STARTED TAKING VITAMINS- AND ALSO I`VE BEEN USING WILDGROWTH. MY HAIR FEELS OK WHEN IT`S DRY BUT WHEN I WASH IT FEELS LIKE WOOL IT FEELS LIKE ITS GONNA COME OUT IF I COMB HARD. MY HAIR WAS REALLY GROWING BUT NOW ITS LIKE MY SPLIT ENDS ARE GETTING HIGHER AND HIGHER AND I WANTED TO WAIT TILL MY HAIR GROWS LONG ENOUGH THEN CUT IT. BUT I REALLY NEED TO CUT IT NOW BUT ITS GONNA LOOK LIKE MY HAIR HAVEN`T GROWN AT ALL. WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOULD I JUST CUT THE SPLIT ENDS AND GET MICRO BRAIDS OR SHOULD I JUST CONTINUE WITH A PERM AND WAIT TO GET THE ENDS CLIPPED
