Most dandruff is caused by a fungal yeast it's noncontagious.Excessive scratching or rubbing the scalp can cause trichonodosis which is knotting or tangling of the ends of curly[Black people's]hair, the knotted hair falls out when combed.

I have had issues with my scalp, but not the same as yours. My stylist said that I have sensitive scalp. I get terrible dandruff if I go more than a week without oiling my scalp. It can get pretty bad. Have you tried Scalpicin? That actually tingles a great deal, but it may be able to help. I`m not saying that you have an itchy scalp, because I don`t know for sure, but I`m just throwing this information out.

Also, another product I`ve discovered is Anti-Itch Growth Oil by Profectiv. Though I don`t know exactly what your problem is, it may be worth a try, especially if you have an itchy scalp. It gives it a warm feeling that heats up my scalp, and it may be able to help with growing some hair back in those areas where there is none. I don`t know this for sure. I just love the products by Profectiv, and think that they are worth a try.

Though I don`t like Wild Growth Oil (the smell irritated me), there are many on this board that love it. There are many here somewhere that can tell you all about it. Also, try typing in "Wild Growth Oil" in the Search engine above, and it should be able to give you plenty of past messages on it. You can look into that if you are interested in growing your hair back. Though I don`t know what your specific problem is, I do hope this bit helps. Best wishes :-)

Hello advisers:
I`m having problems with my hair and scalph.
My scalph is firey red, and I have bald spots as well.
I`ve gone to two dermatologist for help, but have not received any success. They recommended antibiotics and grifuvin. I`ve tried these treatments for 6 months and now, I becoming discouraged. Has any one had similar incedents? If so please contact.

Thankful.

Mochie
