Most relaxers have a Ph of around 13 to 14 whereas texturizers have a Ph from 7.4 to 9. Water- which is neutral- has a Ph of 7. I think the active ingredient in most texturizers is ammonium bisulfate. Some people see no difference after getting a texturizer. Some people report less frizz and looser curls. I know your hair has to be virgin to get a texturizer. You can`t put it in your hair if it is preveously relaxed.

I am really interested in coverting my relaxed hair into a texturizer by putting it on the new growth. For some reason, my ends can get curly, but not all of my hair. It can just hold a faint wave. I want to be able to grow into a new texture, where I can wear all of my hair curly and wavy. Could anyone tell me of any good brand of texturizers and their experiences with it??? Can hair be worn straight with a texturizer, and can it be worn in wet sets too?? Are texturizers good for just short hair only, or does it work well with medium and long hair lengths also?

Thanks,
