As she said "Use a moisturizer" You need heat to penetrate the oils and conditioners.but a hairdryer is NOT the way to go! That has a brittle drying effect on the hair...You need a cordless heat cap..I found one at : www.microhaircap.com It''s also a moisturizing heat cap,,it has no electrical cords,,It heats in 90 seconds in the microwave and stays hot up to 30 minutes! I just reheat if I want more time..I use a plastic cap with it to produce a steamy effect!! It has gotten alot of talk on other talk sites.. Good Luck, Yoli

I know what it feels like to have severly damaged hair at the age of 20 years young. You need a great sylist that will thoroughly answer all your questions. You also need to start over with a great new cut. If you can, visit the salon every two weeks. I personally have very thick and potentially dry weak hair so going natural seems more difficult than getting a relaxer every six to eight weeks with a trim. In between visits MOISTURIZE MOISTURIZE MOISTURIZE! Every week I use a moisturizing shampoo, a conditioner (15 min.) and cholestoral (2 hrs.)- both with a cap and/or under a hood dryer, after that I use a leave-in-conditioner. I daily use a hair serum and hair butter. My hair has made great progress and is growing down to my shoulders now. I use Jane Carter Solutions products. Try roller sets and avoid using blow dryers and curling irons.
If your hair is breaking off, it sounds like you need some help. I do not think you need a relaxer of any kind right how. You should never put a relaxer on already severely damaged hair. You need to get your hair back to being healthy. Good Luck! GOD BLESS.
Hi everyone... I am in need of desperate help... I am using Just for me children's relaxer in my hair.. i have been doing this for over 2 years now... i recently went to a hairdresser who informed me that she would not use that product in my hair since she felt that it was no good and that was why my hair was in such a bad condition... Instead she wanted to use a product called Bantu....
Has anyone ever used that product or knows about it? Did i make a wise choice by not letting her perm my hair with the product she wanted to use??? my hair is breaking badly....PLEASE HELP
