I feel like I have found my way home! Not a lot of folks experience this, but I do. One day I decided to free fall into my bed, woooooooooo child why I do that for! Felt like I landed on a pin cuishon.
I found the straighter I chemically relax, the worse the newgrowth hurts! As a remedy I use Avlon's Affirm Sensative Scalp Mild Formula. Also, my hair is "slightly" relaxed. With this change not only is my hair thicker and stronger, it does not have the newgrowth issue of itching and then hurting when I try to scratch it or manipulate my scalp.
Guys I feel akin to you because of this, for years I have had this complaint and people act like you crazy! Tea Tree oil is soothing as is lavendar, bay, or rosemary oils are as well.
Just think how powerful our hair is to grow so vavasciously it hurts! wow!

My hair tends to hurt alot at the crown when my hair grows, I was told that it comes from your hair growing in at a fast past and being coliy or something like that, but I found that massaging my hair after a co wash with tea tree oil really hepls (tingles) I got the oil from GNC

Is it your scalp that is bothering you if so-go to sally's and purchase sally's generic version of paul mitchell tea tree special shampoo and the conditioner that goes with it. Shampoo, condition and then deep condition with bone marrow. then your scalp should feel better.
Me and you, your cousin and your momma too rollin on da strip on bow's
